I look forward to the day when my country will be respected around the world as the foremost force for peace, a beacon of friendship toward all peoples and the source of comfort and aid for those billions who live in poverty and need.
I'm thankful that, in November of 2008, the American people finally said "Enough!" and replaced the extremist Bush/Cheney regime which engaged in illegal wars, torture and the destruction of constitutional liberties in this country that we love.
Now the fight continues to turn our country around. In state houses and in Congress, the Right is campaigning to take us back to the 1920's - the days before unions and the victories they won: unemployment insurance, Social Security, health care, pensions, etc.
Wisconsin workers have said "Enough!" This is the moment to stand and be counted. We want a country of, by and for the people - not the corporations.
